The President of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance offers his condolences on the death of Ali Salem Al-Baidh

Sheikh Hammoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Popular Resistance, sent a telegram of condolences and condolences on the passing of the great deceased of the nation, Ali Salem Al-Baidh, who passed away today, Saturday, the seventeenth of January 2026. The text is as follows:

May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

It is with great sadness that I received the news of the death of your father, Vice President of the Republic of Yemen and former Secretary-General of the Yemeni Socialist Party, Mr. Ali Salem Al-Baidh, after a life full of struggle for Yemen, its freedom, independence and unity, which immortalized him in the memory of the Yemeni people, as one of the fathers of the Republic of Yemen and the most important partner in the historic decision that made the dream of Yemeni unity achievable on the twenty-second of May 1990.

The deceased was one of the men The righteous Yemenis who were loyal to this country and worked to elevate its status and realize the dream of its people, so his passing represents a loss for all Yemenis.

In light of this painful tragedy, I extend to you, and through you to all your brothers and members of the honorable family, my deepest condolences and sympathy… asking the Almighty God that the deceased be filled with his vast mercy and forgiveness, and that he may reside in His spacious gardens and honor his resting place, and inspire you all with patience.
