In a majestic national movement that reflects the cohesion of the internal front, the delegation of the Popular Resistance Council in Abyan Governorate, headed by Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Jalad, concluded a series of intensive meetings that lasted five days, and included the districts of Modiya, Lawdar, Al-Wadie’, Al-Mahfad, and the Khabar Al-Maraqsha area.
The tour witnessed extensive meetings with an elite group of tribal and social notables, in addition to military, security and political leaders, where The discussions focused on the necessity of directing the national compass towards the common enemy represented by the terrorist Houthi militia, as it is the greatest threat to the security and unity of Yemen. Abdullah Al-Jald stressed that the popular resistance in Abyan was and still is a safety valve for national constants, stressing that the determination is to restore state institutions, end the coup, and consolidate the option of the republic.
The participants also appreciated the sincere fraternal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that its historical positions represent a basic pillar in supporting legitimacy and supporting Yemen in its fateful battle towards stability and restoring the state.
These movements were crowned with a symbolic event with great significance. Deep national connotations were represented by the inauguration of raising the republican flag over a number of government buildings and citizens’ homes in the targeted districts, in a scene that embodied the spirit of loyalty and belonging, and sent a clear message from the heart of Abyan rejecting all projects that affect Yemen’s unity or its authentic Arab identity.
