The Popular Resistance Councils in Saada and Al Hudaydah governorates announced the launch of their work and activities within the framework of the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance, a step aimed at unifying national efforts, enhancing field, media, and political coordination, and completing the battle to restore the state and end the Iranian-backed Houthi coup.

During a meeting held in Marib Governorate that included leaders of the Resistance Councils of both governorates, Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mekhlafi, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance, affirmed that victory is inevitably the ally of Yemenis, and that the Houthi militia coup is on its way to demise and breathing its last breaths, at the hands of Yemenis who have suffered greatly because of its destructive project that is hostile to the people and national identity.

Al-Mekhlafi said that Saada Governorate was the first victim of the sectarian and racist project, and suffered the ravages of war for decades due to the priestly ideology based on alleged divine selection, affirming that Saada will remain an Arab Yemeni governorate that is impervious to attempts to isolate it from its national surroundings.

Speaking about Al Hudaydah Governorate, Sheikh Al-Mekhlafi pointed to the scale of the humanitarian tragedy suffered by the people of Tihama under the control of the Houthi militia, and the systematic violations and exorbitant levies they face, at a time when the governorate’s resources and port revenues are being looted to finance the war machine, while citizens are left without basic services, facing the harshness of summer and winter alone.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council praised the sacrifices made by the free people of Saada and Al Hudaydah, stressing that the blood of martyrs and the wounded will remain a beacon guiding Yemenis on the path to liberation and state restoration.

For his part, Prof. Mohammed Azzam, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance, affirmed the geopolitical and military importance of Saada and Al Hudaydah governorates in the battle to restore the state. He reviewed the national roles of their sons in resisting the priestly project, and stressed that unity of ranks and rallying around the national cause represent the essential foundation for achieving comprehensive liberation.

In turn, leaders of the Resistance Councils in Saada and Al Hudaydah expressed their appreciation for the national role undertaken by the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance, chaired by Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mekhlafi. They reviewed the difficult field and humanitarian conditions in the two governorates, and affirmed that the people of Saada and Al Hudaydah inside are in a state of readiness and anticipation, and look forward to the hour of deliverance and restoring their governorates from the grip of the Houthi militia.
