Today, Friday, the bodies of the two heroic martyrs Bashir Ahmed Qassem Al-Maqrami and Ziyad Abdulqawi Al-Azazi were laid to rest in a solemn funeral procession that started from Khalifa General Hospital in the city of Al-Turbah, before each body was buried in his hometown, in the areas of Al-Maqarimah and Al-Aza’iz, southwest of Taiz Governorate.

Al-Maqrami and Al-Azazi were martyred on Wednesday, September 23, while performing their national duty in defense of Taiz, within the ranks of the Popular Resistance and the National Army on the Jardad front, southwest of the governorate, confronting the aggression of the Houthi coup militia.

The funeral witnessed a wide attendance of members of both tribes, the families of the two martyrs and their comrades in the resistance, who carried their bodies on their shoulders, affirming their commitment to continue on the path they followed until the liberation of Taiz Governorate, the restoration of the state, and the end of the coup.

The Director General of Al-Shamayatayn district, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani, said that Al-Hujariyah stands as one rank in confronting the clerical project, affirming that the popular base stands alongside the National Army and the Popular Resistance and supports their efforts in defending Taiz and the Republic.

Al-Shaibani added that the Houthi militia will collapse in the face of the steadfastness of the resistance and the firmness of the people of Taiz, stressing that the governorate is proceeding with its national stance, and that Taiz is victorious for the Republic and defends the state project.

Meanwhile, the leader in the Popular Resistance Ibrahim Al-Maqrami said that the two martyrs Bashir and Ziyad sacrificed their lives in defense of the land and dignity, and joined the procession of martyrs while performing their duty on one of the fronts defending Taiz, affirming that the blood of the martyrs will remain present in the conscience of the people of Taiz, and a motive to continue the battle until its objectives are achieved.

For his part, the leader in the Popular Resistance Bashir Al-Azazi affirmed that the martyrdom of the martyrs will only increase the people of Taiz in steadfastness and adherence to their right to defend their land and homeland, pointing out that the martyrs left behind an honorable biography and a firm stance in confronting the Houthi militia.

The mourners affirmed that Taiz will remain loyal to its martyrs, and that the sacrifices offered by its sons on various fronts will not be in vain, renewing the pledge to continue defending the governorate until its liberation is completed and the state is restored and the clerical coup is ended.
