The Youth Department of the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance in Marib Governorate concluded the Youth Leadership Training Program, which lasted four days, with the participation of dozens of youth, as part of the Council’s programs aimed at qualifying youth cadres and enhancing their national and community role.
At the closing event, the Head of the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance, Sheikh Hammoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, stressed in a speech delivered via video call that training and qualifying youth leaders represents an investment in the present and the future, and reflects the role of youth as the soul of the nation and the safety valve in facing challenges and contributing to building the homeland.
He pointed out that the national battle against the Houthi militia requires the concerted efforts of all energies, foremost among them the youth category, affirming the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance’s keenness to adopt youth issues through a specialized department that works to implement programs and activities that contribute to developing their skills and consolidating national awareness among them.
For his part, the Head of the Planning Department at the Council, Anwar Al-Humairi, explained that youth represent a fundamental pillar in the process of state building, noting the importance of the program in developing participants’ capabilities and refining their skills in several leadership and knowledge aspects.
In turn, the Coordinator of the Youth Department at the Council, Majid Al-Shumairi, said that the program is the first of its kind among the Department’s activities, and came in response to the Council’s interest in youth and their qualification, pointing to the great interaction shown by participants during the training days.
In the same context, the leader in the Supreme Council for Popular Resistance, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Habbari, called on youth to benefit from training and qualification programs, stressing that the current stage requires an active presence of youth in the battle for liberation and state building.
The event witnessed a number of interventions by participants, during which they expressed their aspirations and interests, praising the Council’s attention to the youth sector, while the program concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the trainees.
