The Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance launched the transfer of monthly stipends for targeted wounded from several governorates in Marib, covering the past four months (January – February – March – April), by direct directives from the Council Chairman, Sheikh Hamoud Saeed al-Mikhlafi.

This step comes as a continuation of the monthly stipends disbursed for the fourth consecutive year to more than 1,500 wounded in Marib and Taiz, and coincides with the approach of the blessed Eid al-Adha, and the celebrations of our great Yemeni people on the 36th anniversary of the National Day of Yemeni Unity (May 22), forming a glimmer of hope for the wounded and their families during these blessed and eternal national days.

The disbursement process included beneficiaries of the monthly stipends program from the paralyzed and blind in Marib, followed by Taiz, as part of efforts aimed at alleviating the humanitarian and living burdens they face, and supporting them amid the exceptional circumstances and difficulties the country is going through.

The Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance continues its firm commitment to disbursing monthly stipends to the wounded from various Yemeni governorates, in fulfillment of the Council’s pledges to these heroes who made sacrifices defending the Republic, and in support of the battle to restore the state and end the coup, affirming that this gesture comes to embody the meanings of unity, brotherhood, and loyalty to those who sacrificed for the homeland.

In this context, the Humanitarian Department called on all relevant government entities and humanitarian organizations to double efforts and attention to the wounded file, and to work seriously to meet their just demands, and provide them with appropriate medical and rehabilitation care, in appreciation of their immense sacrifices, affirming that caring for the wounded is a national and moral responsibility that falls on everyone.
