*Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance Continues Monthly Allowances Disbursement for the Wounded in Taiz*

Taiz: Special

As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, the Humanitarian Department of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance launched today the disbursement of monthly allowances to wounded beneficiaries of the project in Taiz Governorate and several neighboring governorates. The payments cover the past four months (January, February, March, and April), continuing the steps that began in Marib Governorate.

This process is being carried out in implementation of the directives of the Head of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi, and as part of the Council’s continuous commitment for the fourth consecutive year to support more than 1,500 wounded individuals from several Yemeni governorates.

Majdi Al-Qubati, Head of the Council’s Humanitarian Department, said the disbursement coincides with the approach of Eid al-Adha and the Yemeni people’s celebrations of the 36th anniversary of Yemeni Unity Day (May 22). He noted that these allowances represent vital support for the wounded and their families amid difficult living conditions.

Al-Qubati added that the disbursement in Taiz, as in Marib and other governorates, targets the paralyzed, the blind, and amputees among the wounded. This affirms the Department’s priority of alleviating the humanitarian burdens on these most vulnerable groups, and is a recognition of the immense sacrifices they made in defense of the Republic.

Al-Qubati stated that through these steps, the Humanitarian Department reaffirms its steadfast pledge to the heroes of the resistance. He stressed that caring for the wounded remains a sacred national and moral duty that requires concerted efforts by official and popular entities to ensure their rights and provide them with proper medical and rehabilitative care.

For his part, Ra’fat Al-Obeidi, Secretary General of the Wounded Association, expressed thanks to Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi, Head of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, for these ongoing efforts toward the wounded, including the monthly salaries being disbursed. He also called on the government and state leadership to fulfill their duties toward the wounded.
