*Popular Resistance Council in Aden Holds National Gathering to Celebrate the 36th Anniversary of Yemeni Unity*

In celebration of the 36th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Yemen (May 22), the Popular Resistance Council in Aden Governorate organized a national gathering for youth and heroes of the Popular Resistance under the slogan “We Are All Resistance.”
The gathering saw wide attendance by leaders and youth of the Popular Resistance, in an event that reflected the spirit of national cohesion, adherence to republican constants, and affirmation of the national role played by the Popular Resistance in confronting challenges and preserving the nation’s gains and unity.
In his speech during the gathering, Hussam Al-Haidari, Coordinator of the Popular Resistance Council in Aden Governorate, affirmed that the Popular Resistance has been and remains the nation’s safety valve. He noted that this gathering embodies the resistance members’ commitment to the state and republican option, and their continued defense of the national values for which the heroes made immense sacrifices.
Al-Haidari said: “The sacrifices of the resistance heroes will not be in vain as long as there is a vein in us pulsing with freedom, and as long as the national will remains alive in the hearts of the free.”
He also called on youth to exercise awareness and insight in dealing with the current phase, and to strengthen the values of national cohesion and overcome all differences, in a way that contributes to building a safe and stable future that restores the nation’s standing and the citizen’s dignity and legitimate rights.
Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mukhlafi, Head of the Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, had previously stated in an earlier speech on the occasion of Yemeni Unity Day that this immortal national occasion represents a pivotal milestone in modern Yemen’s history. He stressed that Yemeni unity is not merely a national commemoration, but an inclusive project that requires everyone to unite to preserve it and defend its principles and national goals.
The gathering included several speeches and interventions that emphasized the importance of commemorating this national occasion in boosting morale and renewing the pledge to continue the path of national struggle. Participants expressed their pride in the Popular Resistance as a living model of popular and national solidarity in facing various challenges.
