The Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance affirms its categorical rejection of Iranian violations and calls for waging a decisive battle against the coup plotters
The Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance expresses its categorical rejection of the repeated Iranian violations of Yemeni airspace, in a blatant defiance that confirms Iran’s direct involvement in dragging Yemen into a vortex of wars and violence, and in obstructing efforts to achieve peace through its coup arm, the terrorist Houthi militia.
The Council announces its full support for all measures taken by the legitimate authority and the Arab Coalition. It calls for the adoption of more decisive and stronger actions to confront the various challenges arising from the violation of Yemeni airspace and the infringement on national sovereignty, and from what the terrorist Houthi militia and Iran are doing in attempts to impose new realities and establish an open air corridor that entrenches division, enhances the military effort of the coup militia, and imposes further challenges that undermine regional security and threaten the safety of maritime navigation. It also deepens the security and living crises under which the Yemeni people are suffering.
The Council strongly condemns any desperate attempts by the Houthi militia to attack any neighboring country, foremost among them the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It affirms that the security of neighboring countries is an inseparable part of Yemen’s security and stability. At the same time, it declares that the heroes of the Popular Resistance in all fields and on all fronts are fully ready and prepared militarily and logistically to support and back the National Army in the battle for salvation, to restore state institutions, and to end the Houthi coup.
In light of these dangerous developments, the Council stresses the importance of adopting decisive measures to safeguard national sovereignty and protect the country’s supreme interests, and to immediately begin strengthening the military effort in a way that enables the waging of a decisive battle that ends the coup, restores the state, and puts Yemen on the path to peace and stability.
